There's something deeply romantic about a winter wedding.The allure of candlelight, fairy lights twinkling, candles burning with a rustic theme in a beautiful country location.Well that just about sums up Lewis and Danielle's wedding day at Maidens Barn in Essex.The barn dates back to the 1800’s and has been beautifully renovated with it’s large windows and high ceilings, creating a light, airy atmosphere with elegance and a country charm.

Rosie and Daniel's rural wedding day was a unique, magical occasion. Held at the picturesque Hadsham Farm in the rolling countryside of North Oxfordshire at the edge of the Cotswolds.The ceremony and reception were hosted in a Tipi overlooking the lake and the Farm's valley.

The Queens Head pub in the village of Nassington was the perfect venue for the intimate wedding of Shannon and Ashley to tie the knot. A  'cream tea' reception next to the river proved a picturesque setting. Family and friends all helped to decorate the marquee with some great colourful pom poms and bunting while hay bales and sweet trollies created that sense of a village fete.

Heidi and Daniel are great lovers of the outdoors, nature and particularly wildlife. So their choice of Wilderness Wood in East Sussex as a venue for their wedding comes as no surprise. The bride and groom wanted a very informal celebration with loved ones in a magical setting. Their wedding was more of a weekend than just one day as guests camped on site.

A Spanish Bride and a Kiwi groom via Borough in London. The wedding of Paula and Geoff was a truly international affair at one of my favourite wedding venues in London. Trinity Buoy Wharf in the East of London is a former working dock and has an atmospheric Urban charm.

The South Place Hotel was the ideal venue for James and Kate's chic and very London Wedding. This boutique, luxurious, contemporary hotel is located in the 'Square mile' and straddles that fine line between the 'City' and Shoreditch. James and the boys had spent the night before in the nearby Brick Lane and how could I resist photographing the groom against the gritty streets of E1. Returning to the hotel to capture the final stages of hair and makeup and to document the intimate exchange of vows.

Hannah and Phillip tied the knot at the beautiful setting of Millbridge Court. This boutique, contemporary wedding venue is located in the pretty village of Frensham on the Hampshire/ Surrey border.The Ceremony and Reception rooms have wonderful floor to ceiling windows flooding the rooms with natural light.

Wasing Park in the sunshine looks every part the perfect venue to get married. Set in 18th century parkland, the elegant estate has a collection of historical buildings including a Victorian Summerhouse, a romantic grade two listed Dovecote, Smithy and Granaryand and the cutest 15th century chapel of St.Nicolas.

Sarah and Jame’s Winchester wedding was held in the pretty village of Easton. The church ceremony was followed by a short stroll to a garden reception. So many fantastic details in particular the fabulous tipi so beautifully decorated.

If you like your giant topiary then Hall Place in Bexley, Kent is the ideal location for your wedding.This fine Tudor Mansion, dating back to Henry VIII, commands a regal atmosphere with its stunning panelled Great Hall and rare plaster ceilings. Hall Place is set within a walled landscaped garden with classic rose gardens and these hedges shaped into giant animals. Whats not to like?

Sally and Simon's Autumn wedding took place bang in the middle of the City of London at The Happenstance bar and restaurant, just around the corner from the iconic Paternoster Square.The dictionary definition of Happenstance is 'A chance situation, especially one producing a good result'. An apt description because the bride and groom's London wedding was certainly a great result. Both spent the morning getting ready at the beautiful Grange Hotel just a short walk from The Happenstance.

Rachel and Oliver's Cotswold wedding celebrations were held at the stunningly beautiful Stanway House. Home to the Charteris family, Stanway House is a perfect Jacobean manor house near to Winchcombe in the glorious Gloucestershire countryside. Set in grand grounds with a spectacular gatehouse, a picture postcard church and a 14th century tithe barn. And if thats not enough there is the tallest fountain in Britain within the water garden.

Else and Peter are both creative types so I knew their London wedding day was going to be a visual treat. A ceremony at the classic Hackney Town Hall with a London bus to ferry guests to a unique space for a memorable reception. 

The picturesque Oxfordshire village of East Hendred was the perfect backdrop for Harriet and George's September wedding. Harriet's parent's house was such a beautiful setting for a very English style Wedding day celebrations.

Herons Farm in Pangbourne has the best farm house and historic barn that is dedicated to weddings. Rhea and Dom's September wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the old barn which was beautifully decorated with so many fantastic vintage details.

When I first arrived at Nicole and Roshan's West London house, there was one thing I could not help but notice. It would not be an understatement to say this groom likes 'Lego'. As one enters the front porch there is a sign reading 'Legoland Isleworth Resort'. So it comes as no surprise that Roshan managed to squeeze in the occasional 'Lego' theme into their wedding decorations.

The wedding day of Thubeena and Rhys was awesome. A riot of colour, typically urban and quintessentially London. It was a real joy being the wedding photographer at such an action packed wedding.

I must confess that I have wanted to photograph at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham for some time. A totally unique venue full of atmosphere and theatre, with its crumbling interior walls and stain glass windows. So when I first spoke to Holly and she told me her plans for her wedding at the chapel, I think I came across as some what excited !!

 Milly and Christian's wedding was very much a contrast between the old and the new. A  service at the historical church of St. Leonards church in South London and a reception at the unique industrial urban venue of6 St Chads Place in Kings Cross, all with the backdrop of a 1920s theme.

Lucy and Ant are both school teachers and planned their wedding for the beginning of the Christmas holiday, partly expecting frost and maybe even snow. But on the day the weather was glorious with balmy temperatures of 15 degrees, so no need for those fur coats!! Both the bride and groom prepared at The Rose and Crown Pub on Stoke Newington High Street. They made their way across the road to Stoke Newington Town Hall and the wedding began.

There was very little that was traditional about Laura-Jane and Jack's wedding. Both very much North Londoners, LJ and Jack were inspired by the music they love, the locality where they live, clubs and shops they frequent and the location of their first date!! So they both not only wanted to get married locally but to have photographs that reflected this part of the capital.

Katie and Josef were simply just a dream to photograph. Elegant, relaxed and just so charming. Their ceremony was held in the stunning baroque Octagonal room at Orleans House Gallery, Twickenham. Built in 172, for Queen Caroline, wife of George II, this venue is the perfect backdrop for an intimate winter wedding ceremony. Katie looked amazing and she was escorted by her mother into the Octagonal Room and clearly blew Josef away !!

With just a week to go until Christmas day, Corinne and Peter's intimate wedding is sure to get you in the festive spirit. The wedding venue, Clifton Nurseries, dates back to 1851 and is an urban oasis, neatly tucked away behind the grand period town houses of Little Venice in London. 

From the first moment I spoke to Alliea about her wedding plans I got a good feeling. 'Urban and London' was the brief for photographs and needless to say I was delighted when they decided to book me.

The quaint rural village of Chiddingstone  dates back to the 13th century  and has an absolutely  beautiful traditional church, St. Marys. It was here that Hannah and Matt had their wedding ceremony followed by a fantastic garden reception a short distance away. 

The moment I spoke to Alex and Ellie I knew their wedding day was going to be something really special. As lovers of the outdoors and nature, they were planning a wedding ceremony and reception at Wilderness Wood Hadlow Down, East Sussex. Well whats not to like.

Jane and Tom were married on the beautiful Suffolk coast with a ceremony at The Swan Hotel, Southwold followed by a reception at the beach side Thorpeness Country Club

Louise and Steve were married in September, with a ceremony taking place at St. Marys Church, Stoke Newington, followed by a reception at The Peasant, Clerkenwell, London. The bride looked amazing in her frock by 'Fur Coat No Knickers' flanked by her bridesmaids all dressed in black.
