Jane and Tom's Wedding Southwold, Suffolk
An appropriate post for those amongst us who wish they were at the beach! Jane and Tom recently married on the beautiful Suffolk coast, with a ceremony at The Swan, Southwold followed by a reception at the beachside Thorpeness Country Club.
A day filled with sea creature kites, flip flops, beach huts, Adnams inspired design and a touch of heavy metal, these two were spoilt by their surroundings in this historic Suffolk village. Built nearly a century ago by architect, barrister and playwright, Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie, who decided to create a safe healthy, fun packed holiday environment for his family and friends, Thorpeness is a real hidden gem, nestled between Aldeburgh and Southwold. Pretty mock-Tudor buildings, purple heather and golden gorse, all overlooking the stunning unspoilt beach, set the scene perfectly and needless to say great for photos.
Just before sunset, I took the newly weds for a quick stroll around the grounds and onto the beach, before returning to the venue to dance the night away!
This wedding was memorable in so many different ways. However the most enjoyable part was meeting such a charming and fabulous couple.
