A Wedding starting with a tea ceremony and ending in The Great Hall at Eltham Palace
Three dresses, two Tea ceremonies and an exchange of vows against the backdrop of the magnificent Art Decor South London Eltham Palace. I always enjoy photographing weddings at the unique Eltham Palace, which is set in the leafy borough of Greenwich and is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture including Virginia Courtauld's boudoir and a gold mosaic bathroom !!
Earlier in the day Peishan and Vinh held two traditional Tea Ceremonies as part of their celebrations, which meant that the bride got to wear a stunning red silk dress to to honour Chinese traditions. This involves the newly weds offering tea to their family members as a mark of respect. This feast of colour took place in the stunning 1930s circular Art Deco Courthauld wood panelled room.
Later in the afternoon the bride and groom exchanged vows in the Great Hall. This is how Peishan and Vinh tied the knot at Eltham Palace.
My thanks to all the lovely people at English Heritage for all their help photographing Peishan and Vinh's wedding at Eltham Palace.
