My last wedding of 2019 took me back to one of my favourite wedding Surrey venues, to photograph the lovely Nikki and Lee. There was a real Christmas feel to the day with beautiful floral decorations by Elspeth from Blume Studio, festive twinkly lights, baubles and the obligatory Christmas tree. The ceremony was relatively late at 3, so we just had time to shoot some couple portraits around the grounds and in the surrounding country lanes before sunset.

Lucy and Ant are both school teachers and planned their wedding for the beginning of the Christmas holiday, partly expecting frost and maybe even snow. But on the day the weather was glorious with balmy temperatures of 15 degrees, so no need for those fur coats!! Both the bride and groom prepared at The Rose and Crown Pub on Stoke Newington High Street. They made their way across the road to Stoke Newington Town Hall and the wedding began.

Katie and Josef were simply just a dream to photograph. Elegant, relaxed and just so charming. Their ceremony was held in the stunning baroque Octagonal room at Orleans House Gallery, Twickenham. Built in 172, for Queen Caroline, wife of George II, this venue is the perfect backdrop for an intimate winter wedding ceremony. Katie looked amazing and she was escorted by her mother into the Octagonal Room and clearly blew Josef away !!
