I have wanted to photograph a wedding at The Roost for a long time, so I was totally thrilled when Hafsah and David told me they had booked this amazing Dalston venue for their reception. A classic victorian pub that is now used for photoshoots and weddings. With its amazing array of funky furniture, vintage props and amazing backgrounds, the bride and groom transformed the space with their own personal touches and decorations.

They instantly fell in love with the historic Oxfordshire venue, a beautiful 17th-century stone farmhouse with gorgeous gardens surrounded by a moat. The cotswold house has stood for over 300 years, and buildings have been on the site since 1149.

The stunning 17th century Whitmore Hall hosts just a handful of weddings a year and Leah and Andy were lucky to secure one of those slots. A tipi overlooking the lake was the setting for their wedding reception. Leah spent over a year sourcing and collecting vintage props to decorate tables and the interior of the tipi. Her attention to detail was quite amazing. Retro plates and cutlery, toby mugs, hand made order of service to name a few. Even the wedding transport was a vintage mini car.

A 'cream tea' reception next to the river proved a picturesque setting.
